Candyshorts episode 3: why it is locked, and what unlocking it costs
People type the name of a series followed by "episode 3" more than any other episode number. That is not a coincidence. On Candy AI, episodes 1 and 2 of every Candy Shorts series are free, and episode 3 is where the paywall starts. This page explains how that works on each shelf, what episode 3 costs for the series we cover, and what you are really looking at when a site promises it for free.
Short answer
Episode 3 is the first locked episode of every series. It costs 12 tokens on an open series, 30 on an open series with a star or on a Spicy series, and 50 on a Spicy series with a star. It only plays on Candy AI.
The free part and where it ends
Every Candy Shorts series follows the same pattern. On the open shelf, episode 1 plays for anyone who opens it, even without an account, and episode 2 opens once you have made a free account. On the Spicy line, the series are hidden until you sign in, and with the free account episodes 1 and 2 cost 0 tokens.
After episode 2, every episode is locked. You unlock them one at a time, and the button shows the price before you confirm. Episode 3 is therefore the first stop where you are asked to pay, which is why it is the one people search for.

The price of episode 3 is the price of every later episode in the same series. There is no discount for later episodes and no surcharge for the finale.

Where the tokens come from
Premium includes 100 tokens a month. That pays for episode 3 to 5 of a five-episode open series without a star nearly three times over, or for episodes 3 to 5 of a Spicy series without a star once. Tokens can also be bought in packs inside the app.
There is no trick that unlocks episode 3 without tokens. Sites that claim a "free episode 3" generator or a cracked account are selling something else; we cover the usual ones on leaks and uploads.
"Episode 3 free" uploads: what they are
When an upload or a page promises "episode 3 full" for free, it is almost always one of three things: the official trailer re-cut to look longer, a clip from episode 1 or 2 renamed, or a page that sends you through ads or asks you to download something. None of them is the episode.
The real episode only streams inside Candy AI's player. If you do want to see what happens in episode 3, the safe route is the one on the button: unlock it with tokens.

Episode 3 on long series
On a five-episode series, episode 3 is the first of three locked stops, so unlocking it means you are already more than halfway through. On long series it is the start of a much longer ride. Tori's Broken Vows and Accident with my Stepmom lock eight episodes after it, Mona's Worst Enemy thirteen and YES MA'AM thirty-three.
That changes how to think about the price. On YES MA'AM, episode 3 costs only 12 tokens, but the whole locked run is 396. On Blackout At My Yacht Party, episode 3 is 50 tokens and the run behind it is 400. Our series pages show a running total at every stop, so you can see where a Premium month of 100 tokens runs out.
Why the free part stops at two
Two free episodes are enough to show a premise and a tone, which is what the format relies on. Our series pages describe what the free pair sets up, so you know what episode 3 is continuing before you pay for it.
